What is the maximum length of a video review?
Each video is limited to 15 seconds (with a technical tolerance of up to 17 seconds). This short length is deliberate: it keeps videos punchy, easy to watch on mobile and easy for the customer to record. Beyond that, the server rejects the upload.
Which video formats are accepted?
Cachet Thika accepts videos recorded with the phone camera (MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV) or uploaded from the gallery. The server automatically compresses every video to MP4 H.264 720p (800 kbps) to guarantee smooth playback on all devices. Maximum input size: 50 MB.
Are photos and videos moderated?
Yes. Every media file attached to a review goes through the same moderation flow as the text: inappropriate content detection, customer identity check and approval by the Cachet Thika team. A non-compliant video or photo is rejected before publication.
Can a business turn off video reviews?
Yes. Each business controls whether video reviews are enabled from its dashboard. When turned off, the “Record a video” button disappears from the public review form. Photo reviews remain available independently.
Which subscription plans include video reviews?
